This challenge is specifically to help people who suffer from Anxiety and Health Anxiety who are finding symptoms have increased or developed over the last year.

Whether it’s a radio station, TV channel or an internet news site, they are in competition with other channels who also ‘sell’ the news.

The programmes are intentionally dramatic in the way in which they presents the news; the stories selected, and how the information is interpreted, as well as how the facts figures and points of view are present to the public.

These news corporations are looking for the most impactful way of getting and holding the audience’s attention. The problem is this ‘intentional drama’ can exacerbate fear, stress and anxiety.

Personally, I have seen the effects the news has had on people over the last year in an already difficult situation. It has been heartbreaking seeing the struggles some people are going through.

So, the aim of the challenge is to give yourself a little relief from the bombardment of bad news and fear-inducing stories
